What is Lipoma?
A Lipoma is a painless and harmless lump of fatty tissue that is located between your skin and underlying tissue. Lipomas are non-cancerous growth that are most often found on your shoulders, neck, chest, arms, back, buttocks and thighs. They grow very slowly and are soft & doughy to touch. Lipomas can range from the size of a pea to few more centimetres across.

Lipomas usually don’t require any treatment as they cause no harm. But in case they bother you or are painful then you must consult your doctor. He will either surgically remove them or give steroid injections.Lipomas can also be removed via liposuction.
